MAINSTREAM SOFTCORE

I cruised by Mashkulture today and stumbled upon the American Apparel post...had to steal some of the pics, sorry guys. Now as much as I detest American Apparel's misuse of women, despise the snobby children who work the numerous retail outlets around the globe, and from what I hear it would be an understatement to label the owner Dov Charney a slime ball...I have to be true to myself and accept the fact that these adds bring out the inner john in me. Don't front, first thing you do when you grab a NOW Magazine is check the back. American Apparel...disgusting feminists and uniting johns since 1989. -Mr.-

FASHION

A little something for the ladies, although I have a feeling guys will benefit from this post as well. São Paulo Fashion Week, Summer 2010: The Bikini. Brasil and bikinis go together like KOS and drunk. I know it's a little late in the season, but something like this...better late than never. Shout out to Cool Hunting for another brilliant video. -Mr.-

This season has given a whole new meaning to the term ‘flower power’! Whether it’s a printed dress or a pair of flowered pumps, this is a simple way to add that extra punch of colour to any basic pieces you may have in your wardrobe.
For those of you that aren’t afraid to show your flower power, there is the beautiful strapless, silk dress by Shoshanna. This dress allows so many looks that it is truly worth every penny of the $375 price tag! For day wear, it can be worn more casually with a pair of gladiator sandals and a hobo bag. For a more evening appropriate look, I suggest ‘Oh Bis’ by Ash Italia. These shoes are stylish and dare I say: COMFORTABLE! With the leather lining, wooden trapezoid heels and hidden platform (for stability) this is a pair of shoes that will last longer than your lipstick! And for a final touch of colour I suggest the ‘Posh turnlock big slice wristlet’ in the mint colour from Marc by Marc Jacob ($248)...I promise it’s a lot less complicated than it sounds! -Ms.-

In this look, a simple black, jersey-knit 'Jessamine dress' by Velvet was paired with a mint-green, cropped blazer by Club Monaco. Ash Italia's 'Sly' open-toe summer boots are a great transitional accessory to have and go with almost anything...a wardrobe plus. And of course to complete this look, I’ve chosen a beautiful floral clutch from See by Chloe…it has a price tag of $295 but it is definitely worth the investment! -Ms.-

FASHION

Alice + Olivia (striped tube bodysuit) – with high waisted everything on the rise, body suits are the next big thing - trust me. No rumples or wrinkles like when you have to tuck a tshirt into your high waisted skinny jeans. Plus when they're this hot why wouldn’t you want to wear them? -Ms.-

FASHION

Odyn (empire waist short) – okay, I know I just finished talking about how high waisted is in, but some might find these a little extreme. You definitely need some curves to pull these off, but if you can you DEFINITELY can. I love the cut and sew look which these totally embody, and the cuff is key. Last time I checked they were sold out at cultist, so good luck getting a hold of them, but its worth it. -Ms.-

FASHION

Raven (Raquel Skinny Faded Light Wash) – There's only two places in the city to cop this brand, which is kind of a prequel to how elusive it is. It's one of the few GOOD street-easy lines that does runway (sorry Christian Audiger…but thanks for that party at Ultra haha) and it’s routinely featured in magazines like InStyle. It’s pretty plentiful in NYC though, so take a trip up there and say hi to the boys at boundless while you’re at it. -Ms.-

KSUBI (superskinny zip squack) – are these not the hottest pants in existence? I say this a lot, but these would go with ANYTHING. I love, LOVE the trademark detailing on the back waistband - they totally make anything Ksubi designs. Totally form fitting, razor sharp, and as much a I love high waisted denim, the low rise will always have a place in my heart…and the hearts of men around the world. -Ms.-

Tripp NYC Suspender Short Shorts – In Toronto, when it gets hot it gets HOOOOT and the less clothing the better. I'm a huge shorts over skirts advocate because you can skimp on material without looking like a skank, and the chances of an accidental peep show are lessened greatly. Lindsay take note. I also like that these come with suspenders (optional), I think they can be super sexy...more people should wear them. -Ms.-

FASHION

She Bible Seacliff Coat – This has got to be THE coziest thing I have ever seen. Even the colour exudes comfort. Like wearing a sleeping bag and still looking fresh to def. -Ms.-

FASHION

Ernest Sewn Zazo High Rise Slim Straight Leg – There’s only a few denim brands that I really like, a group that includes Ernest Sewn. All of their denim is soft and dyed beautifully, but these particular ones have the best ride length. Showing your (bare) bum off is so immodest. -Ms.-

Mama Lace T – According to a VERY trustworthy source, MAMA is one of the three top female streetwear brands around. On point, from running the business, quality of the clothing to all around style. As far as I know, you can’t find anything else like these tshirts, except of course MAMAs lace fitted. Only for the laydeeez. -Ms.-

FASHION

Odyn High Rise Scooter Short – Summer is coming!!! My sneaks have been hiding from the salt and the slush outside and the only thing better than bringing my babies out from their cardboard prisons is finally being able to show some leg! High rise shorts make your legs look longer, so pair with heels and don’t expect to pay for a drink all night. -Ms.-

7 For All Mankind Lucy Double Knit Pant – I don’t normally go into a lot about pants unless they’re really worth talking about, so don’t expect much of this, but these are the most comfortable things I've ever put on. They feel like leggings, but they're sturdier and they bunch all cute at the ankles, plus they have the 5 pockets like denim. The look of denim without that pinch at the waist when you sit down - hell yaaaaa. -Ms.-

FASHION

Ksubi (Super Skinny Jeans) – Colored jeans are great, hardly anyone rocks them so kudos to you if you do. Even if you’re normally colour shy you can get away with wearing them on V-day!!! So If you see some random girl running around the city on the 14th with pink jeans and heart shaped sunnies on - you’ll know its me, holllaaa! -Ms.-

Kova&T (Leah Jumper) – Probably the hottest thing since thigh highs. I don’t think many people are gonna jump on (haha) jumpers this summer, but only because no one will have the guts to do it proper. Only for the seriously sexy. Check out www.kova&t.com for the full collection. -Ms.-
