"Chill" loafers by Ben Sherman. I'm not a big fan of Ben Sherman kicks, more so of the casual line, but the "Chill" has just transformed my perspective. Crisp, and oh so clean. The black on black leather and suede are perfectly placed, and the converse style sole is a classic staple that can only elevate your design. The perforated edge on the toe is a nice addition. Dope! "The Chill"...proves that stepping outside of your comfort zone can lead to great things. -Mr.-

CINEMATIC DOPE

"A Bronx Tale" (1993) written by/starring Chazz Palminteri, directed by/starring Robert De Niro...need I say more. Surprisingly, not a lot of people have seen this gem of a film, therefore I see it as my duty to inform the masses. Brilliant! The trailer touches on one side of the tale, which is that of a blue collar family trying to maintain values amongst the fast money lifestyle of the neighborhood mob. Calogero 'C' Anello (Lillo Brancato) is the son of Lorenzo Anello (De Niro), a bus driver in the Bronx who despite his attempts to guide his son along the right path, loses Calogero to the local mob boss Sonny (Chazz Palminteri). What most reviews and write ups fail to mention however is the love story that is at the heart of this film, between Calogero and Jane (Taral Hicks), a young black girl from the wrong side of the tracks "so to say". What makes this film unique is it's ability to cover the transforming climate of the Bronx in the sixties, the Mafia's grip on everyday social activities, race relations, and the lack of respect for the working man...a major problem in today's egotistical economy. A must see, one of my favorite films of all time! -Mr.-

ART FORMS

Christina Koutsospyrou "Kiss1" and "Kiss 2". Christina is a London-based illustrator best known for her depictions of contemporary culture. I'm a big fan of digitally enhanced illustrations and believe the medium is virtually limitless. Adobe has taken the illustration to knew heights and has opened the door for artists restricted by pen and pencil. Christina has clearly mastered this technique. -Mr.-

KNOW YOUR PAST

I've been meaning to throw this up for quite some time now...B.I.G; age 17, place - Bed Stuy, Brooklyn. Historic freestyle...know your past. -Mr.-

MUSIC - VIDEO

"The Science" by Murs. Home boy hits and misses, hits and misses. Back in the day Murs was the freestyle king, one of the tightest members of The Living Legends Crew, and straight up G. I remember telling my brother...with a little bit of money and the right label Murs could be unstoppable. But like Aceyalone, Planet Asia etc...bad choices and inconsistencies produced album flop, after album flop. 'The Science' is an example of his potential...top fu$king shelf, point blank period. Tracks like this restore my faith in hip hop's ability to lead a generation. -Mr.-

FASHION

"Thrill Leather Belt" by Brixton. Nothing special...simple, yet slick. The buckle is a nice escape from the ordinary...it looks like it's made out of hemp. Brixton - not just fedoras. -Mr.-

Aside from the Air Yeezy's, Nike needs to rethink their game. I mean...leather selection, assembly, color palette - top shelf. And the folded leather strips echoing off of the three stripes - come on now, NEXT LEVEL! Not big on the three buttons...you can EDIT that ish out! But overall style and appeal...two thumbs up Brasil style. -Mr.-
