MUSIC - VIDEO

"B.O.O.T.A.Y." by Spank Rock and Benny Blanco feat. Santogold and Black Betty off the 2 Live Crew inspired ep 'Bangers and Cash'. Can you say GRIMY? This track is a straight banger...the whole damn record is rated SEXT - YA DIG? I posted this video earlier in the listening pleasure section...which does not get archived, therefore - here you go. Put this track on and tell your significant other "tonight we FU$K!" -Mr.-

FASHION

Dita x Cazal (cazal 902) – When I first peeped these I almost had a heart attack and I was scrambling to my phone to hunt down a pair. My two favourite sunglass manufacturers doing a collab?!? Puh-leeeez. Plus they come with a cool vintage-esque case!!! COP. -Ms.-

FASHION

Smythson (zip around purse) – For those who don’t know, Smythson is an extremely expensive, highly coveted leather goods manufacturer based out of the UK. I would probably compare the quality (and price tag!) of their merch to a brand like Hermes. But it’s an indulgence we must give into, coz once you lay a finger on the aruba calfskin you just want to melt into it while simultaneously reaching for your credit card. -Ms.-

FASHION

Alice + Olivia (striped tube bodysuit) – with high waisted everything on the rise, body suits are the next big thing - trust me. No rumples or wrinkles like when you have to tuck a tshirt into your high waisted skinny jeans. Plus when they're this hot why wouldn’t you want to wear them? -Ms.-

FASHION

Odyn (empire waist short) – okay, I know I just finished talking about how high waisted is in, but some might find these a little extreme. You definitely need some curves to pull these off, but if you can you DEFINITELY can. I love the cut and sew look which these totally embody, and the cuff is key. Last time I checked they were sold out at cultist, so good luck getting a hold of them, but its worth it. -Ms.-

FASHION

Ash (rubis open toe sling-back pump) – these are so seamless and classic I can't say much about them. What I CAN say is that they are comfy as hell (I know first hand) and they’ve got just the right amount of heel to make your legs look bomb at the same time preventing tipping and tumbling on those messy nights. Jeanswise, keep in mind they look best with dark denim. -Ms.-

"Turn U On" by General Degree. CLASSIC TUNE. Girl I got the MIDAS TOUCH - don't it feel good?...me not gonna stop until you reach the sky and fly. YeZZir! -Mr.-

FASHION

"Signature Fitted" by 3Sixteen. The XL script embroidery is super nice, and the turquoise on black - can't go wrong. A little warm for summer (twill) but fresh none the less. -Mr.-

FASHION

"Color Block Windbreaker" by Subscript. Block style design - proper, color scheme - on point, textile selection - BLING! There's something about that sheen...TOP SHELF! Subscript, stepping up to the plate in a major way...one of the baddest windbreakers out there HANDS DOWN! -Mr.-

FASHION

"Neon Tee" by Crooks and Castles. One of my favorite prints thus far. Neon...that's right, neon...and it even looks like it's glowing. Simple and clean yet grabs your attention, need I say more? Oh yeah, color selection - proper like please and thank you. Act like u know. -Mr.-

FASHION

Dicoco (black/grape/turquoise) by Creative Recreation. Classic kick...dope remix. Color scheme is butter...purple AND turquoise - come on now! Straight goods people, straight goods. It's all about those hard to find color combos with CR, a trend kick started by NIKE of course...if you have a dope model, stick with it and freak the color instead of trying to design something crazy and new. This color combo - PLANTAINS! Peep game people, peep game. -Mr.-

MUSIC - VIDEO

"Supersonic" (1988) JJ Fad. Baby-D, MC J.B. and Sassy C. These ladies were signed to Ruthless Records, produced by Dr. Dre and Yella of NWA, and were the first Grammy nominated female hip-hop group - feel me?...Know your past people, know your past. Does "Fergalicious" sound familiar? Yeah, I thought so. Show some respect. -Mr.-

FASHION

Vintage Plastic Aviator – I don’t actually know where to buy these specific sunnies, I just put them up because I adore tortoiseshell frames and because I like the general shape. I'm sure you can find similar ones pretty much anywhere. I understand Cartel is now stocking vintage sunglasses so hold out for a pair from there. Stunnaaaa. -Ms.-

FASHION

CC Skye (wide bangle with charm) – Everyone who knows me, no wait, everyone who SEES me knows I loooove gold accessories. Or big accessories. Both is just so much better. -Ms.-

Truly Madly Deeply (laser cut skull tee) – I haven’t really seen anything like this before, it's pretty cool. Sometimes I make holes in my clothes to make them all vintag-y, but this is such a better idea and I love the scoop neck in the front. The t-shirt is super soft too, so it really does feel vintage. But F.Y.I, obviously fake LV is only ok if it’s clearly ironic. -Mr.-

FASHION

Raven (Raquel Skinny Faded Light Wash) – There's only two places in the city to cop this brand, which is kind of a prequel to how elusive it is. It's one of the few GOOD street-easy lines that does runway (sorry Christian Audiger…but thanks for that party at Ultra haha) and it’s routinely featured in magazines like InStyle. It’s pretty plentiful in NYC though, so take a trip up there and say hi to the boys at boundless while you’re at it. -Ms.-

FASHION

Golden Goose (black net ankle heel) – if someone buys these for me, I swear on my life I will love you forever. They are possibly the most beautiful creation I have seen EVER. They would look so good with shorts or a mini dress, and they'd even look good with light denim like I've illustrated here. I have to stop looking at them now...I might go crazy with desire. -Ms.-

CINEMATIC DOPE

"Rockers" (1978) a film by Theodoros Bafaloukos. Brrrrrrrap! For all those who don't know...school is in session. Originally scripted as a documentary, 'Rockers' blossomed into a full length feature capturing reggae culture at its peak in 1978. The cast is PLANTAINS. Leroy "Horsemouth" Wallace, Richard "Dirty Harry" Hall, Gregory "Jah Tooth" Isaacs, Jacob "Jakes" Miller, Robbie "Robbie" Shakespeare, Winston Rodney : Burning Spear, Manley Buchanan : Big Youth, Lester Bullocks : Dillinger...the list goes on. Classic, wait a minute...let me retype that sh*t CLASSIC - ya heard. You like reggae? SEE-THIS-FILM. Horsemouth, a drummer living in a ghetto of Kingston plans to make some extra money selling and distributing records. He buys a motorcycle to carry them to the sound systems around the island and struggles to maintain positive vibes when his bike gets tiefed at a local dance. Chappelle obviously saw this film...live sporadic musical performances, and that dude who does the robot...you'll see what I mean. CINEMATIC DOPE. -Mr.-

FASHION

"Denver Nuggets." Designed to match the Nike PRod Zoom Air SB's. Dope! You either feel this one or you don't...feel me? Haha -Mr.-

FASHION

"Buzz Brigade" by Sabre Vision. TUFF like GONG. New school stylee with a retro twist. Sabre Vision holdin it down...I'm talkin pinned to the mat people, PINNED-TO-THE-MAT. -Mr.-

FASHION

"Automatic" by Nixon. With a $650.00 price tag the Automatic is one of Nixon's famous "elite" series timepieces...not cheap. It looks like something Batman would wear. The face is slick as well, it reminds me of the shutter on a camera, and the overall design creates a feeling of depth. Two thumbs up - Brasil style. -Mr.-

FASHION

"Engraved" by GrnAppleTree. Simple, and yet slick as fu$k. Nice script, dope placement, black and white..."keep it simple stupid" - one of my favorite quotes. GrnAppleTree flipped the script with this one, usually their designs are far more detailed. Top shelf. -Mr.-

FASHION

"Data" (black/red/blue) by Gravis. Super slick. Clean and casual people, clean and casual. The blue and red stripe with the yellow zig zag stitch adds just enough flavor so they won't fly under the radar. The textured blue leather also plays nice against the clean black...subtlety is key. Gravis holdin it down. -Mr.-

FOOD FOR THOUGHT

LOVE
Love, what a crazy experience. Love for family, love for friends, love for your other half, love for a place, an experience, a moment in time. Love makes my world go round, without it I'd be lost. It is my anchor, my companion, my purpose. As one grows older, the world around you becomes alot more real, intricate, complicated and at times lonely...I often long for the innoncence of youth. I believe the comlplications arise due to the fact we forget how to love, how to take things for what they are. We over think, we judge, we take steps back instead of taking steps towards one another. And yes, love often hurts...for all those scarred I lend a hand, we are in this together. Life is full of forks in the road, meetings, partings, and reunions...a journey we all must travel so appreciate those around you when you have the chance. And for those of you feeling alone, distant and isolated, those harboring despair and doubt - be easy, your brothers and sisters are out there...have faith. Could you be loved? -Mr.-
