"Slumdog Millionaire" based on the novel Q&A by Vikas Swarup, directed by cinematic genius Danny Boyle, co-directed by Loveleen Tandan is film making at its finest. I know you've heard someone mention this film in passing or sing its close attention to these people - they have experienced CINEMATIC GENIUS! The film tells the story of Jamal Malik, a working class teen who wins 10,000,000 rupees on India's version of "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire" and is accused of cheating after answering every question correctly. What unravels next is a series of flashback montages as Jamal explains the situations that led to him knowing each correct answer. From a script writing perspective - GENIUS. The soundtrack is relevant, on-point and executed lovely, and the shot sequences are reminiscent of "City Of God" shelf. Each flashback is timed to perfection, well focused, and beautifully sequenced. The most important aspect of this film to me however was the underlying theme of god has a master plan. One of the best films of our times...fu$king BRILLIANT! -Mr.-
