FASHION

A little something for the ladies, although I have a feeling guys will benefit from this post as well. São Paulo Fashion Week, Summer 2010: The Bikini. Brasil and bikinis go together like KOS and drunk. I know it's a little late in the season, but something like this...better late than never. Shout out to Cool Hunting for another brilliant video. -Mr.-

ABOVE AND BEYOND

Goyard, London. Established in 1853 in Paris, La Maison Goyard have been designing/manufacturing cases, trunks, luggage and hand bags above and beyond the competition. With stores in Paris, Beverly Hills, Boston, Hong Kong, Kyoto, New York, Osaka, San Francisco, Sao Paolo, Seoul, Tokyo and now London, Goyard represents a standard that is not only reflected in their products but their 'opening soon' store fronts as well. Business tip - this is how you make a statement, as well as one hell of an introduction. -Mr.-

FASHION

"Jocker" by Carrera. Carrera is my favorite sport shade brand, everything they deliver is trend setting. The Jocker in shiny dark Havana is just another example. Say word! -Mr.-

FASHION

"The Professional" by Alife. I posted the red version awhile back...I saved the best for last. Straight goods. -Mr.-

FASHION

"V-Neck Pima Shirt" by Baracuta. It's all in the fit - feel me!? Most get lazy and fall short when perfecting a pattern. I know it's just a shirt, but you'd be amazed how many times people fu$k up the simplest things. Baracuta is not cheap, but definitely worth every penny. -Mr.-

FASHION

"Dunk Hi's in black/volt-splatter" by Nike. Straight up and down - proper! Colors, leather, heel detailing...top shelf. Low-key, yet ahead of the rest - can I get an amen!? -Mr.-

IN THE LAB

Pac Div + DJ Khalil = DOOM from DJ KHALIL on Vimeo.

"Doom" Pac Div and DJ Khalil. Pacific Division are killing it right now, DJ Khalil is killing it right now...together it's over, the west is back - feel me!? Another DJ Khalil banger is "One" by Slaughterhouse (Royce Da 5'9", Crooked I, Joe Budden, Joell Ortiz). Like I said...KILLING IT! -Mr.-

FOOD FOR THOUGHT

"ENDGAME: Blueprint for Global Enslavement" a film by Alex Jones. Radio host Alex Jones (www.infowars.com) has been labeled a paleoconservative, libertarian, and flat out conspiracy theorist. I don't know all the facts, but what I do know is knowledge and wisdom stem from asking questions, questions are fueled by intrigue and lack of understanding...if anything this film will intrigue you and produce questions. Don't follow blindly, simply observe, analyze and question. Question Alex Jones, question your government, and most importantly question your environment and the nation that you contribute to and assist in sustaining. Culture shifts, transforms and can affect ones existence both negatively and positively. Where do you stand, and what exactly are you a part of? Bottom line - ask questions! -Mr.-

CINEMATIC DOPE

"Heart Of Stone" a Good Footage Production, directed and produced by Beth Toni Kruvant. "Before 1960 Weequahic High School (WHS) was known as one of the top schools in America. By 2000 it was one of the most violent schools in the 12th most dangerous city in the country. Heart of Stone is the true story of WHS’ quest to return to its former glory." Culture exchange/transition and the transformation of the urban landscape and the people that define it has always interested me. This documentary examines such a transition as the alumni of the past come together with the faculty of the present in order to provide students with the incentive and assistance required to further their education and realize their true potential...brilliant! One love - feel me!? Cinematic dope?...hopefully. -Mr.-

MUSIC - VIDEO

"Brooklyn Girls" by Charles Hamilton. I meant to throw this up awhile back...my bad. HomeZ sampled "Shorty Swing My Way" by KP and Envyi...classic! -Mr.-

MUSIC - VIDEO

"Getcha Some" by Big Sean. Detroit native Sean Anderson holding it down for G.O.O.D. Music/Island Def Jam. It pays to show and prove...why?...after interviewing Kanye for 102.7fm in 2005 Sean spat a freestyle, hit Mr. West up with some tracks to critique, played phone tag for a couple of years and was signed by Kanye in 2007. Moral...patience is a virtue, and always be on your A game...feel me!? Look out for the UKNOWBIGSEAN Mixtape. Not the illest MC, but homeZ has presence...it seems nowadays that's all that counts (sigh!). -Mr.-

ART FORMS

Los Angeles born and raised - RETNA. Graffiti writer turned international contemporary genius. Talent knows no bounds - say word! Retna is most known for his graffiti murals in collaboration with Mac, but has gained notoriety and acclaim for his mixed media works, some of the best I've seen - hands down. I have chosen to highlight his murals in this post but will follow up with his mixed media shortly...far too much talent. He rolls with the Art Work Rebels and Mad Society Kings, he is a member of the internationally exclusive art collective The Seventh Letter, and has carved himself a position amongst some of the best to ever traverse the line between gallery and street. His murals are created with both paint brushes and traditional spray paint, and have taken graffiti to the next level. Show some respect, recognize and most importantly appreciate the talent that helps shape the urban landscape. Retna - I tip my hat to you sir. -Mr.-

"Heartbreak Scorsese" by Snob Scrilla. California native Sean Ray a.k.a. Snob Scrilla moved from California to Australia for school and ended up making music...the rest is history. It's hard to label homeZ...electronica, hip hop, whatever...music. I'm not a big fan overall, but this track gets play. Shout out to Melbourne. -Mr.-

FASHION

"Morning Glory" black horn w/ grey by Initium. Solid! As my Italian brothers would say, as well as literally speaking - SOLID. These look like the Terminator should be rocking them while hunting down John Conner. Top shelf! -Mr.-

FASHION

"El Mercado Fitted" by Elm Company x El Mercado. The LA streetwear boutique teams up with one of the best in the game - Elm Company. The Marisol logo was made to be placed on a fitted. Comes in four color ways, but the grey denim pictured above is the slickest by far. -Mr.-

FASHION

"VSOP 09 logo tee" by Akomplice. Simple, clean, and colorful. I know you guys have been killing the fitteds...this tee needs a companion - feel me? The print inside the font would look top shelf under a brim. Say word! -Mr.-

FASHION

"Valley Lo" by Ransom x Adidas Originals. Gorgeous. The ripstop nylon outer layer is plantains! The texture demands a second look, yet is low key and upscale. The mint green line is a nice touch as well. Ransom holding it down. One of the sweetest pairs of Originals thus far. Two thumbs up Brasil style. -Mr.-

Every now and then you need a track that brings out the inner most animal and allows you be straight up with yourself. The club is a meat market...get to the muthafu$kin point - feel me? I'm good, but for all you singles out there, lets be real. -Mr.-

THE FUTURE

John Kanzius stumbled upon an energy source that is clean, but most importantly in abundance, and might just be the future of fuel. Innovation is a beautiful thing. We are often provided with everything we will ever need in life, but are so preoccupied with the prototypes of our existence we miss the evolutionary step of progression. I still believe solar energy is the answer, but who says it can't work hand in hand with other clean alternatives. -Mr.-
