"W.A.L.E.D.A.N.C.E." by Wale. Straight outta DC, 23 year-old Wale Folarin has been putting in work. Signed to Mark Ronson's Allido Records/Interscope, Wale is about to take the game by storm. He is also sponsored by 10DEEP clothing and has been co-signed with other top labels The Hundreds, LRG, Stussy, and NIKE, homey IS NOT PLAYING. Look out for this dude in 2008. That's whats up. -Mr.-

FASHION

Darkhorse (Dutty Flores Tee) – I love Darkhorse. Girls brands mostly have this annoying saccharine quality to them, but instead, this brand is all about the joy of sarcasm and a love for the outrageous. And they love Grace Jones (bonus points). If they were music, they’d be booty bass with a Mohawk and bloody knuckles. -Ms.-

FASHION

Emmaichai (microdot arrow hooded sweat) – me being the genius that I am, spent ten minutes (publicly, I might add), trying to figure out how to pronounce the name of the brand. M-H-I. DUH. Being owned by renown streetwear brand Maharishi (and subsequently MHI), that makes sense right? I had to be clued in by a very giggly extremely mean storeowner who I have the misfortune of knowing. Just kidding! Love you B. anyway, this is pretty much my favourite Em hoodie that’s around right now, for women anyway. There's a dope pink one for guys that I got a while back but, being for guys, the fits kinda wack. Love the take on dots here, the way they’re warped is almost like a comIc book if you look close. FRESHHH. -Ms.-

FASHION

KSUBI (superskinny zip squack) – are these not the hottest pants in existence? I say this a lot, but these would go with ANYTHING. I love, LOVE the trademark detailing on the back waistband - they totally make anything Ksubi designs. Totally form fitting, razor sharp, and as much a I love high waisted denim, the low rise will always have a place in my heart…and the hearts of men around the world. -Ms.-

FASHION

Nike Vandal Hi (white Claw Money) – Miss Claaawdia how I love thee. Quite possibly the baddest bitch ANYWHERE. She revolutionized the world of graffiti, heads a very successful clothing and accessories line, and has a deal with Nike - every sneakerheads fantasy I'm sure. The vandal model is tight as is, but with her tag on it they cant be touched. Get your claws (ha ha) on every colour (if you can). P.M.S FO-EVUH -Ms.-

STROLLIN

YeZZir. Straight strollin people - feel me, like Frodo out the hobbit hole...blow with the wind. It was a beautiful Sunday morning...what to do? My homie from NY Jayson Atienza swang through and we decided to hit up Kensington Market and see what was poppin. STREET FEST! BANGIN! I heard about kensingtons street fests but never witnessed one first hand. We connected with my boy Wun and continued the stroll. Wun introduced us to Chris and Isabel, some real chill folks and we made our way through the swarms of people vibing out. Half way through the mix we stumbled upon Akilah and Lisa ("so called" samba queens) and watched a street parade poor down Augusta. Good times...it pays to get out the house - you never know what life has in store. -Mr.-

CINEMATIC DOPE

"The Professional" (1994) written/directed by Luc Besson. Cinematic dope! Leon (Jean Reno)is a professional assassin living and working out of NY. He lives a simple life, renting an apt. in little Italy and "cleaning up" for local mafioso Tony (Danny Aiello). Leon's repetitive, isolated life changes however when he comes upon a little girl from down the hall, 12-year old Mathilda (Natalie Portman) after her family is executed by corrupt cops. A complicated relationship follows as Leon and Mathilda help each other grow, live and learn. Eventually Mathilda is trained by Leon in the art of "cleaning up", remember she is only 12-years old. Luc Besson's directing style is best described as a japanimation film come to life...framing, direction, score and execution. Cinematic dope - hands down. This film packs action, humor, love and life...don't sleep. -Mr.-

MUSIC - VIDEO

"Trouble" by Coldplay. Classic track, off a classic album. Life is a complicated place...full of passer by's in a maze of souls, as I dance through time I tip my hat to all those I have wronged. Remember me for my higher self, not my lower. -Mr.-

FASHION

"Kareem" (tortoise) by Stussy. Lawd have mercy. Top shelf, I'm talking out of reach people - you need to pull out the step ladder and really extend those arms. Dope design...and tortoise, my personal fav. Stussy reppin hard...OG's in the game, show some respect. -Mr.-

FASHION

Digital camo by Major. I'm not a huge fan of camo prints, but this digital style works, especially with the contrasting bright orange logo. Real proper - ya dig? Another fresh fitted from Major. -Mr.-

FASHION

"The Hope Tee" by Obey. Damn straight. At times I find myself on the verge of saying fu$k it...what's the point? Hope - the expectation of the desired end...keep your eyes on the prize people. Never give up. Dope print, nice color selections and most importantly - a universal message. Obey holdin it down. -Mr.-

FASHION

FRIDAY NIGHT LIVE

Last night I swung by my boy NV's pad to go over some TSHIRT designs...got a call from my dude Clay and was told to meet him at the shop. Reason: his homey Jayson Atienza "artiste extraordinaire" outta NY was in town and he wanted to make an introduction. Around the same time Mr. Dankery Harv hollered...and so...VIP'd it at Circa, strolled over to Ultra, met the "host with the most" Sergio of Kleen Media, partied like a rock star and called it a night. The summer's just beginning yall....muahahahah. -Mr.-

STROLLIN

Strollin down the block today I passed by my boys shop "Cartel" (498 Queen St. W) and stumbled across them unpacking a sh*t load of vintage shades...priceless. If you know what's good you'll check it out. I copped a couple pairs myself. I think they're releasing them for $25 a pop - don't sleep. -Mr.-

"Atlantis to Interzone" (2006) by Klaxons. Dope track...kinda reminds me of Firestarter (Prodigy). The word 'klaxon' is derived from the Greek verb klazō, meaning "to shriek", and most commonly refers to air-raid sirens or other warning devices...this track illustrates this point to a tee. Klaxons are straight outta the UK consisting of Jamie Reynolds, James Righton, Simon Taylor, and Steffan Halperin. This track is a straight banger...some new school electronica mixed with a little hardcore headbanger boogie - STRAIGHT GOODZ. Don't sleep. -Mr.-
