The cut is clean, the waist line is secure and nicely fitted...zippers are always welcome, and the pocket design/placement - proper. Sophisticated leisure - feel me? A simple piece like this can change your whole swagger...S2VS outta NY - brilliant! -Mr.-

"Audible Essence" by Acrylick. In the age of the porno tee, these guys know how to mess around with a nude woman and not make the design look sleazy. An art. Simple pic, nice use of lines and color...clean, what more can I say? Acrylick holding it down once again. -Mr.-

The Clae "Russell" - in MERLOT! Slick, fine, crisp, and oh so clean. The Russell is a classic...but the Merlot takes the cake. Black is black...my fav, but if you're gonna play around with bold colors...look no further. Top shelf like cookie jars people. The cut on the Clae is just so regal...a sneaker with the status of a dress shoe. Rock these to the club and tell the bouncer to grow up - feel me? -Mr.-

CINEMATIC DOPE

"Man On A Wire" directed by James Marsh, documents the incredible, yet illegal tight rope crossing of New York's Twin Towers in 1974 by Parisian thrill seeker/high-wire master Philippe Petit. What makes this film incredible is the goldmine of archival footage and stills, the humorously sequenced well directed reenactments, and the sheer on-camera charisma of Philippe Petit himself. Combined, these elements captured one of histories most beautiful, daring performances by man. Illustrating the true meaning of "have no fear" and "living life on the edge"...literally. The way Philippe and his small band of merry men broke into the Twin Towers and executed their daring feat is reminiscent of a bank robbery, the reenactments truly captured the sheer intensity of such a thrilling expedition. And the archival stills of Philippe hand standing on the edge of the roof were beautiful additions to the retelling of the story. Two-thumbs up - Brasil style. -Mr.-

"Words Up?" art exhibit at LE Gallery (1183 Dundas Street West). Presented by LE Gallery in collaboration with Simon Cole, "Words Up?" exhibits street based contemporary works featuring Ghost(NYC), Papermonster(NYC), Dixon(Spain), Omen(MTL), Scam(TO), and Case(TO). Definately worth checking out. The show opened last night and runs till February 1st. All photos by Darshan, the 4 foot wonder. -Mr.-

"Gangsters" by The Specials. Straight bad boy tune - feel me? The Specials (originally The special AKA) formed in 1977 by Jerry Dammers, Lynval Golding, and Horace Panter under the name 'The Coventry Automatics' and a year later Terry Hall and Roddy Byers joined and the band became The Special AKA. They enjoyed success until 1981 when the band broke up, but were an important contribution to the punk/ska/two-tone movement. They shared management with The Clash in 1979 and toured with them briefly gaining industry notoriety. Ska...try not to forget, there was a resurrection in the late seventies and early eighties...but now, pretty much underground. The Specials...a perfect example of cultures coming together - BRILLIANT! -Mr.-

"Ki New Era" by Fitted. Now this item here might not be for everyone...kind of loud, but DAMN! Come on now...break away from the norm. I'm still uncertain, the inside fabric selection is bananas however...who knows, with the right outfit this hat could step your game up in a major way. -Mr.-

"Sunday" by Sabre Vision. Comes in several colors, but I thought white was appropriate for winter - YA DIG! Sabre Vision...never disappointing. -Mr.-

"M Elysium" by North Face. Clean. What more can I say? Oh yeah...the collar is LARGE, a.k.a. proper. North Face...yall know the name. -Mr.-

"The Over sized Mop Crew Neck" by Mishka. The fit is dope, the over sized bear logo is nutty...and pink on navy...PLANTAINS! I haven't rocked a long sleeve shirt in a minute, straight hoodies and tees...things are about to change. -Mr.-

"Micropacer gore-tex" by Adidas. First off the color selections are top shelf, and on top of that gore-tex...come on now, like the tag reads - QUALITY. Subtlety is key and these will fly under the radar, but with a closer inspection - PIYAMP! The freshest Micropacer's I've seen to date...hands down. -Mr.-

CINEMATIC DOPE

"Slumdog Millionaire" based on the novel Q&A by Vikas Swarup, directed by cinematic genius Danny Boyle, co-directed by Loveleen Tandan is film making at its finest. I know you've heard someone mention this film in passing or sing its praise...pay close attention to these people - they have experienced CINEMATIC GENIUS! The film tells the story of Jamal Malik, a working class teen who wins 10,000,000 rupees on India's version of "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire" and is accused of cheating after answering every question correctly. What unravels next is a series of flashback montages as Jamal explains the situations that led to him knowing each correct answer. From a script writing perspective - GENIUS. The soundtrack is relevant, on-point and executed lovely, and the shot sequences are reminiscent of "City Of God"...top shelf. Each flashback is timed to perfection, well focused, and beautifully sequenced. The most important aspect of this film to me however was the underlying theme of god has a master plan. One of the best films of our times...fu$king BRILLIANT! -Mr.-
